Mr. Tee embarked on his career journey at USM (University of Science Malaysia) as a Laboratory Assistant and Scientific Glass Blower. This 7 years’ period from 1971 to 1978 marked Mr. Tee’s formative years, laying the groundwork for his career journey until he founded PERNIAGAAN LABORGLAS TECHNIKS in 1989. During this period, he meticulously honed his craft, becoming adept at the intricate art of scientific glass blowing while actively contributing to various research endeavors.
In 1972, Mr. Tee was sponsored by the Pyrex Glass Company for a three-month intensive scientific glass blowing training program in the United Kingdom. This opportunity proved invaluable, allowing him to further enhance his skills and gain exposure to advanced techniques in the field. The training experience broadened his horizons and laid the foundation for his future accomplishments in scientific glassblowing. It is also during this period that he underwent significant personal and professional growth, laying the foundation for his entrepreneurial journey.
Enriching Experience at Glass Art Sdn Bhd (1978 – 1982).
Mr. Tee transitioned from his tenure at USM to Glass Art Sdn. Bhd., a joint venture between Australia and Malaysia, from 1978 to 1982. This collaborative environment provided Mr Tee extensive networking opportunities, allowing him to establish valuable connections within the industry. His role as a creative glassblower facilitated skill enhancement, enabling him to refine his craft and explore innovative techniques in glass artistry.

Mr Tee joined MPOB from 1982 to 1989.
